Monday trivia and cyber-silliness!

Have you noticed yet? Surely you have. An inbox full of spam, sales-pitches, and cyber-craziness.
Wanna know a little secret? Cyber Monday is a myth... and that is verifiable. Cyber Monday was a retail industry-created term to boost early December sales soon after the Internet became mainstream. The biggest online shopping day of the year? December 13th or 14th! Generally, that is when the free shipping deals curb and consumers begin to pay premiums to get their sleigh-load of gifts to a destination on time. 

The other big myth? Black Friday... NOT the biggest shopping day of the year... actually, the Saturday before Christmas is the biggest consumer shopping day of the year. Don't believe me? Check me at the "black friday" tab on cnn.com... a very interesting interview.

In that light, make sure you don't get caught up in the craziness. What is better than a well-thought-out and beautifully wrapped gift that supports a local business owner? Absolutely nothing.
