Many of you know that I joined a friend to train for my first Half-Marathon in Dallas at the end of October...  But here is what you don’t know:

About a year ago, my parents’ hometown water source became badly contaminated. The couple hundred folk who lived there had to drive over 30 miles to the nearest grocery to buy bottled water for cooking and drinking, and that went on for MONTHS. That got me thinking about things we take for granted, like clean water.

Did you know that over a billion people here and around the world have NO ACCESS to clean water? I couldn’t believe it. 1,000,000,000 people.. a BILLION?!?!? This is FIXABLE!!!
I need your help! Would you PLEASE consider two easy requests:

1.  Loan me your face for twenty minutes, at a time that works for you. Fast, fun, and free, and at your convenience...how easy is that? 

2. PLEASE refer to me EVERY adult you know for a courteous OFFER of my services and professionalism with no pressure... every face counts in this race and someone you know might just be looking for my services!

what is success? an interview...

He is right! In any industry we work and do due diligence, but often there is something extra... and I think he nails it.  We put the excellence out there, and sometimes we will see exponential growth. Other seasons are more slow.

Answering the question...

Recently someone asked my husband if I was closing the studio doors and quitting. My initial reaction was, "What made him think that?" But then I realized that people ask things like that about every business out there at some point. I guess the assumption is that only BIG businesses hang around.
But you know, after I got over that moment of funny, I realized my real reaction: "No! I can't! I don't have time. I have clients to take care of, orders to fill, and so much more to learn and take back to my  business team."  It was as clear as day: my purpose in my work is as fulfilling to me as it is helpful to those with whom I work. Awesome sauce!

Today, in honor of the LAST day to do the NEW YORK makeover contest entries, I am posting lite and hitting the send button, as I still have a couple dozen people's photos to get into the contest from this past few days!

My personal favorite makeover from last week was the beautiful Tammy R.
While her day-smokey burgundy/platinum eyes and pink pout are soft and tough to see in this bright-light pic, the thing I most want to highlight is the difference in her skin! Tammy has two SMALL boys. Tammy has heavy sun damage and melasma staining on her skin. Not much longer, though! She has been taking care of her skin with our miracle set, microdermabrasion set, and even complexion duo... and her skin is so bright and even now! The foundation in the after pic is SHEER, folks!
